The Ministry of Energy of Israel commissioned EVConsult to perform a best practice for the deployment of EV charging infrastructure regarding the Israeli situation. The purpose of this study is to provide decision-makers with guidelines for deployment of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

It is based on a knowledge and lessons learned from international experience, adapted to the unique attributes and needs of Israel, through the use of designated a modelling tools and the methodical consultation with stakeholders. Four countries in Europe were selected, each with their particular roll out plan. The selected countries are the USA, the Netherlands, Great Britain and Ireland. Active workshops were held to gather feedback from stakeholders. The extensive report provided the best practices of each country for the deployment of EV charging infrastructure, the specification regarding the optimal charging models for the Israeli situation, prediction of EV growth and infrastructure needs, and actionable guidelines for implementation.
