Together with partner Baringa, EVConsult provided an identification of a range of future models for Smart EV charging, in order to understand the systems architecture required to support each of those models.

The main target was to determine what role UK Power Network should take to position themselves as a leader in managed charging of EVs, to allow them to lead the discussions for setting standards and protocols. By providing insights in the different smart charging models and associated system architecture, UKPN is able to steer internal investment in capabilities that enable smart EV Charging solutions and can provide a basis for further development of commercial charge management and connection arrangements.
